EMM Configuration Settings Version Mismatch

What Caused the Problem?

A expansion enclosure in the storage array contains EMM modules that are reporting different versions of configuration settings. Normally, the software would resolve the mismatch problem by automatically synchronizing the configuration settings between the two EMMs. However, there are conditions which may cause the automatic synchronization to not occur. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the recovery steps.

Important Note

An EMM configuration settings version mismatch can affect how the storage array reports bypassed physical disks, therefore it is important to correct this problem before attempting to correct any problems associated with bypassed physical disks.

Recovery Steps

1

From the Array Management Window (AMW), select the Advanced >> Maintenance >> Download >> EMM Configuration Settings option and follow the instructions on the dialog to download the EMM configuration settings configuration file.

2

Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your technical support representative.
