A different host group

The host and its associated ??are removed from the previous host group and are now displayed under the chosen host group. The host and its associated host bus adapter (HBA) host ports inherit the new host group's . If the host also had any specific mappings, these are retained.

In the example, Omaha A is moved from the Omaha host group and is now displayed under the Kansas City host group.

Condition 1: If the host was the only host under the previous host group, then the host group loses its association to the host but retains the host group's current virtual disk-to-LUN mappings. However, these virtual disk-to-LUN mappings will be inaccessible until you redefine associated hosts and HBA host ports for this host group.

Condition 2: If the host was the only host under the previous host group and the host group does not have any virtual disk-to-LUN mappings, then the host group is moved back under the  and inherits any default virtual disk-to-LUN mappings.

None

Condition 1: If the host does not have any of its own specific virtual disk-to-LUN mappings and only has mappings associated with the host group, then the host (and its associated HBA host ports) are returned to the Default Group and inherit any default mappings.

Condition 2: If the host has its own specific virtual disk-to-LUN mappings in addition to the mappings associated with the host group, the host (and its associated HBA host ports) are moved under the , indicating that the host still has its own specific virtual disk-to-LUN mappings but is no longer associated with a host group.

Condition 3: If the selected host is currently not part of a host group, then selecting None has no effect.
