Use the Change Mapping option to change either the assigned
Important:
- If the virtual disk is reserved, clear the reservation before the LUN mapping change is allowed.
- Many hosts can have 256 LUNs mapped per
, but the number varies per operating system. See Restricted Logical Unit Number (LUN) Mapping for a list of operating systems with restrictions.

From the Defined Mappings View, select a single virtual disk, and select Mappings >> Change >> Mapping. |

Change the mapping by choosing one of the following options:

Click OK to save the |

Stop any host applications associated with this virtual disk, and unmount the virtual disk, if applicable, from your operating system. |

Click Yes to confirm the changes to be made. The virtual disk-to-LUN mapping is checked for validity and saved. The Defined Mappings View is updated to reflect the new mapping. The Topology View is also updated to reflect any movement of host groups or hosts from under the Default Group if the virtual disk-to-LUN mapping was changed to a host group or host that did not previously have any specific virtual disk-to-LUN mappings.
