Initializing a Disk Group

Use the Initialization option when the Recovery Guru advises the manual of all in a . Perform the following steps:

Caution: Risk of data loss -- All data on all virtual disks in the disk group will be destroyed. Do not attempt this operation unless advised to do so by the Recovery Guru. Contact Customer and Technical Support before completing this procedure.

Important:

Use this option only under the guidance of a Customer and Technical Support representative.
You cannot cancel the operation after it begins.
Do not use this option if the virtual disks in the disk group are not .
Do not use this option if any modification operations are in progress on the virtual disk or the disk group.
Do not change cache parameters of the virtual disk while the Initialize operation is in progress.

Select the disk group to initialize from the Logical View, and select Advanced >> Recovery >> Initialize >> Disk Group.

Type yes, and click OK.

Note: To monitor the disk group initialization progress, select a virtual disk in the disk group, and select Virtual Disk >> Properties.
