An access virtual disk is a factory-configured used for communication between the storage management software and an to the storage array . Use Remove Mappings option to remove a mapping to an access virtual disk so the can be used for a . You can also use this dialog to remove a LUN mapping to an access virtual disk if the storage array is not managed using an and the host-agent software, or an access virtual disk mapping is currently in a but the hosts within that partition are not used as the in-band management connection.
Note: When you create a storage partition, a LUN mapping for an access virtual disk is automatically generated for that partition. This ensures management connectivity if any of the hosts within the partition are being used as the in-band management connection.
