Defragmenting a Disk Group

Use the  option to consolidate all  on a selected . Using this option enables you create additional  from the maximum amount of free capacity. A fragmented disk group can result from virtual disk deletion or from not using all available free capacity in a  during virtual disk creation. Perform the following steps:

Select a disk group in the Logical View, and select Advanced >> Recovery >> Defragment Disk Group .

Click Yes.

All free data blocks on the Free Capacity nodes are consolidated into one Free Capacity node containing a larger set of contiguous data blocks. The Logical View is updated to display the larger, single Free Capacity node. You can select this Free Capacity node for virtual disk creation.
