You can create a from , , or on the by using the Create Disk Group Wizard.

To start the Create Disk Group Wizard, use one of the following methods:
To create a virtual disk from unconfigured capacity on the storage array:
Note: Multiple Unconfigured Capacity nodes might appear if your storage array contains mixed . Each disk physical disk type will have an associated Unconfigured Capacity node shown under the Total Unconfigured Capacity node if unassiged disk physical disks are available in the disk expansion enclosure.
In the Logical View, select an Unconfigured Capacity node, and select Disk Group >> Create.
To create a virtual disk from free capacity on a disk group:
In the Logical View, select a Free Capacity node, and select Disk Group >> Create.
To create a disk group from unassigned disk physical disks on the storage array:
Note: You cannot create a disk group and a subsequent virtual disk from different disk physical disk types. Each disk physical disk in the disk group must be of the same disk physical disk type.
In the Physical View, select one or more unassigned disk physical disks of the same disk physical disk type, and select Disk Group >> Create.
Follow the directions on each wizard dialog, and click Next.

The following list describes the dialogs that you see when you use the Create Virtual Disk Wizard:
The Introduction dialog of the Wizard describes how the Create Disk Group Wizard helps you allocate the capacity needed for creating a virtual disk or a disk group on your storage array.
The capacity of the selected unconfigured capacity node, the free capacity node, or the unassigned disk physical disks is shown.
Using Unconfigured Capacity or Unassigned Disk Physical Disks
The RAID Level and Capacity dialog lets you specify the level of the disk group that meets your requirements for virtual disk data storage and protection, and to select the disk physical disks that will comprise the disk group.
If you chose the automatic disk physical disk selection choice, you can select from the list of pre-calculated capacities for the disk group that you are creating.
If you chose the manual disk physical disk selection choice, you can manually select the specific disk physical disks that you want to use to obtain the appropriate disk group capacity.
When the disk group creation process is finished, a confirmation dialog appears. You are prompted to create a virtual disk for the new disk group. To create a new virtual disk, use the wizard.
