Collect Disk Disk Physical Disk Data

Use the Collect Physical Disk Data option to collect log sense data from all the disk physical disks on your .

Log sense data consists of statistical information maintained by each of the disk physical disks in your storage array. A Customer and Technical Support representative uses this information to analyze the performance of your disk physical disks and to troubleshoot problems that might exist.

Important: Use this option only under the guidance of a Customer and Technical Support representative.

During a critical event, the support bundle is saved to the local hard disk physical disk of the client system in the same area that is used for other recovery information. This information is not overwritten for at least 72 hours.

From the , select Advanced >> Troubleshooting >> Collect Disk Physical Disk Data.

In the Specify filename text box, either enter a name for the file to be saved (for example, C:\filename.bin), or browse to a previously saved file if you want to overwrite an existing file.

Use the convention "filename.bin" for the name of the file. (The suffix .bin is added to the file automatically if you do not specify a suffix for the file.) You can also specify another disk physical disk and directory if you want to save the file in a location other than the default location.
