Correcting a partially managed storage array condition for an out-of-band storage array
A partially managed storage array occurs when only one controller is defined or can be reached when the storage array is added
to the storage management software or found by the storage management software.
The following conditions can cause a partially managed storage array that is managed using out-of-band connections:
- The Ethernet cable connected to the controller is damaged or not connected.
- The controller was offline when the storage array was added.
- The appropriate network configuration tasks have not been performed (for example, IP address assigned to the controller, and
so on).
- The wrong IP address was entered for the controller.
Use this procedure to correct a partially managed storage array that is managed using out-of-band connections.
-
Make sure all cables connected to the controller are not damaged.
-
Make sure all cables are tightly connected.
-
Make sure the IP addresses are correct for both controllers.
-

-
