You can give a host access in two ways: automatic discovery or creating a host manually. During automatic discovery, the storage management software automatically finds any hosts connected to the storage array that operate the host-agent software. Hosts that are automatically found are identified with the label “pending.” When you give the host access, the host is identified with the label “configured.”

To manually configure host access, click the Configure tab. Click the Configure host access (Manual) link to create the host manually. When the host is manually created, it is identified with the label “configured.”
