Storage Array Component - Loss of Communication

What Caused the Problem?

One or both of the RAID controller modules in this storage array cannot communicate with the storage array component listed in the Details area. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.

 Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when handling components. Touching components without using a proper ground may damage equipment.

Important Note

This problem typically occurs when a related component is removed that is required in order to gather information about this component. Resolving the problem with the related component typically solves this problem.

Recovery Steps

Click the Recheck button after completing each of the following tasks until the problem is resolved:

  • Replace any components that were recently removed.
  • Replace any components that are being reported as failed in the Summary area.
  • Complete the Recovery Steps for any other problem reported in the Summary area.

If this problem is still reported in the Summary area after completing the three steps above, contact your technical support representative to assist you with correcting this problem.
