Expansion Enclosure Limit Exceeded

What Caused the Problem?

The storage array has an Out of Compliance status because it contains more than the allowed number of expansion expansion enclosures. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.

Recovery Steps

1 If you performed one of the following actions that resulted in the Out of Compliance state, then perform the associated tasks to resolve the issue:
If... Then...
You recently added a new expansion expansion enclosure that does not contain any data Remove the recently-added expansion expansion enclosure from the storage array.

Go to step 2.

You recently added an expansion expansion enclosure that contains data
If... Then...
You do NOT need to transfer any of the existing data onto the storage array Remove the recently-added expansion expansion enclosure from the storage array.

Go to step 2.

You need to transfer the existing data onto the storage array It is possible that you can upgrade to a Feature Pack that will allow support for more expansion expansion enclosures. Contact your technical support representative to see if your storage array can be upgraded to a different Feature Pack.

Do not continue with the Recovery Steps.

2 If you altered your cabling configuration to add or remove the expansion expansion enclosure, refer to your cabling documentation and ensure that you have a recommended cabling configuration.
3 Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your technical support representative.
