Defining a Host Group

Use the Define Host Group option to define a new .

Important:

This operation does not succeed if the name you choose duplicates that of an existing host group in the Topology View.
After defining a host group, you must define its associated and .
The maximum length of the host group name cannot exceed 30 characters.

From the window, select the or in the Topology View, and select Mappings >> Define >> Host Group.

Type the name of the new host group in the field.

Click Add to save the newly-defined host group. Either leave the dialog open to define another host group, or select Close to save the newly-defined host group and close the dialog.

The host group Omaha is displayed under the Default Group in the Topology View.

Next, define the host group's associated hosts and host bus adapter (HBA) host ports by selecting the newly-defined host group and defining the hosts to be associated with each host group.
