Locating a Disk Group

Use the Blink Disk Group option to physically locate and identify all physical disks that comprise a selected . An indicator light is turned on on each physical disk in the disk group.

Select the disk group in the Logical View, and select Disk Group >> Blink.

When you have located the disk group, click OK.

The indicator lights will stop blinking. If there are any other Blink operations (Blink Physical Disk, Blink Storage Array, Blink Physical Disk Channels, Blink Expansion Enclosure) currently running from another , these indicator lights will also stop blinking.

Note: If the indicator lights from the Blink Disk Group operation do not stop blinking, use the Stop All Indications option to stop the process manually.

Stopping All Indicator Lights from Blinking

Normally, the indicator lights stop blinking when you click OK in the Blink Storage Array, Blink Physical Disk Channels, Blink Disk Group, Blink Expansion Enclosure, or Blink Physical Disk dialogs. Use the Stop All Indications option in the rare case that a Blink operation has not properly closed and the indicator lights on the  physical disks continue to blink.

From the , select Storage Array >> Blink >> Stop All Indications.

If the indicator lights successfully stop blinking, a confirmation message is displayed.

Click OK.
