Viewing the Status of RAID Enclosure Components

Use the RAID Enclosure Component Information option to:

Checking Battery Status

The battery status is shown with an icon and a status label.

Important: When the Optional RAID controller module batteries parameter is enabled, the following information does not apply.

Icon and label for an OK or Charging battery status:

 

Icon and label for a Failed or Removed battery status

 Status: OK/Charging

 

  Status: Failed/Removed

The battery area also shows the current Age of the battery and the number of Days until replacement.

Resetting the Battery Age Clock

Important:

Select RAID Controller Module enclosure components icon in the Physical View.

Select the Batteries icon, and click Reset.

Click Yes.

The battery age clock is reset to 0.

How to Check the Status of RAID Enclosure Components

Select RAID Controller Module enclosure components button  in the Physical View.

Note: If one or more components in the RAID controller module enclosure are not in an  state, then the RAID Controller Module enclosure components button in the Physical View reflects a  status.

The status for every RAID controller module enclosure component is shown. Select the icon in the left pane to view more information. If you see  in the Physical View, use this dialog display for more information on the potential problem. Then, run Recovery Guru, and take the recommended action to correct the problem.

The following are examples of Normal and Needs Attention status icons:

 Fan modules: OK

 

 Fan modules: Failed

 Power Supply: OK

 

 Power Supply: Failed

 Mini Hub: OK

 

 Mini Hub: Failed
