network management station (NMS)

A console with installed SNMP-compliant network management software that receives and processes information about managed network storage arrays in a form that is supported by the management information base (MIB) that the NMS uses.

The Enterprise Management software provides information about critical events, using , to the configured NMS. Refer to the storage management software installation guide for your operating system for information on setting up an NMS, such as compiling and installing the appropriate MIB.
